Camp Shonga is situated in a 15 000ha private concession in the south-eastern section of the Kruger National Park. The borders of the Kruger Park reserve concession area are the perennial Crocodile River to the south and Mozambique in the east.

The best access by road is through the Crocodile Bridge Gate (approximately 14km)
