Jock Safari lodge is situated in the Big Five area of the Kruger National Park.
Jock Safari Lodge incorporates the romance and elegance of the past colonial era, and reflects in its unique style the indigenous Zulu and Shangaan cultures.
This luxurious lodge is situated in the southern area of the KNP at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers, half way between Skukuza and Malelane. It is approximately 35 km to the Skukuza airstrip and 150km to the Kruger International Mpumulanga airport in Nelspruit.

Off road driving from Jock Safari Lodge private concession roads is allowed where game viewing warrants it. Other things to do at Jock Safari Lodge include walking safaris, birding safaris and guided historical tours.

Policies and Other Information
Children policy:
- This policy applies to all persons from 0 up to and including 11 years old
- Persons from 12 years and older are considered as adults and will therefore require their own room at the applicable rates
- Persons under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris
- Children are accommodated at Little Jock only
- Little Jock can accommodate a maximum of six adults and four children sharing in three rooms
- 0 - 3 Year old
- are accommodated at no additional cost
- may share with adults, depending on the availability of cots and/or rooms with an extra mattress
- are not permitted on game drives
- 4 - 11 Year old
- are accommodated at 50% (half) of the adult sharing rate
- may share with adults, depending on the availability of rooms with an extra mattress
- are permitted on game drives
- Mattresses can accommodate a maximum of one child each, depending on their age
- Cots can accommodate a maximum of one child per cot
- Rooms accommodating children sharing with parents contains two mattresses per room
- Game drives for children younger than 6 years old are conducted in closed vehicles as per the rules and regulations of Kruger National Park
- Child rates are applicable whether children share a room with adults or not inclusive of meals, non alcoholic beverages, activities (age dependant) and the "Kids on Safari" program
- Child minding are done by lodge staff and can be arranged at an additional cost

Insurance

Transfers / Gate Times
- Transfers can be arranged with reservations on request at additional costs
- All transfers are handled by accredited car hire and charter companies
- All transfers must be arranged prior to arrival
- Federal Air charter flights between Johannesburg and Skukuza airstrip
o Inclusive of a road transfers between Skukuza airstrip and the lodge on the basis that the Federal Air flights are booked with Mantis Central Reservations
- Self drive and road transfers from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (KMIA/MQP) are subject to Kruger National Park gate times
o The Kruger National park prohibits the use of roads within the park once the gates are closed; therefore guests need to be at their destination and transfer companies must be outside the park by the time the gates close
o Jock Safari Lodge is approximately one (1) hour from the Malelane Gate and therefore we recommend that flights to / from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA/MQP) are booked to:
o arrive at KMIA/MQP no later than 14h30 on day of arrival
o depart from KMIA/MQP no earlier than 10h00 on day of departure
Peak Season (20 December - 10 January)
- Only written cancellations will be accepted. Be sure to receive an acknowledgment of cancellations from reservations
- 50% of the fee is due if the cancellation is less than 60 days prior to arrival
- 100% of the fee is due if the cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival
General

- 25% of the fee is due if cancellation is less than 30 days prior to arrival
- 50% of the fee is due if cancellation is less than 15 days prior to arrival

Group/Conference: Deposit, Payment and Cancellation
- Policy applies to bookings of eight (8) or more people
- A minimum 2-night stay applies throughout the year
- A 10% non-refundable deposit may be requested at the time of booking in order to secure rooms, depending on the size of the group
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable 90 days prior to arrival
- A 100% non-refundable payment 60 days prior to arrival
- Every 16th person confirmed will be free of charge, including all meals, game drives and selected beverages
