Cecilia and Aloise have always had a dream of retiring in the bush as it is their favorite place to be. After going into a partnership and investing in the Phumula property at Marloth Park they decided to retire early, move there and run it. It is now a family business and all their staff are local and trained up personally by either Aloise or Cecilia, this creates a much needed job opportunity in the area for which the locals are thankful.
Both hosts are fond of this sort of lifestyle and the risk and pleasure that comes with it. Living out in the bush can be quite an experience especially given the fact that the game that does wonder through the premises is in fact wild and not tame!
Guests are urged to respect the wildlife here and the bush and to exercise caution when confronting a wild animal, although they are used to humans, they cannot be petted and must be given their space.
