Facilities & Services
Tinga Legends offers a wellness treatment room; treatments can take place in the treatment room or in the luxury of your own suite overlooking the Sabie River, all treatments are conducted by a professional health and skin care therapist. Booking in advance is advised.
Tinga Legends concentrates on offering their guests with only the finest cuisine. Brunch is served on the river deck, shaded by an ancient Jackalberry, known to be almost 200 years old. High tea is served on the on the terrace with a spectacular view of the Sabie River. Evening Meals are served in the boma with the lingering smell of a traditional boma barbeque and the background noises of the hyena calls. Private suppers for honeymooners can take place in the privacy of the deck of their own suite.
Tinga Legends welcomes the opportunity to make your celebration unforgettable for special occasions and celebration arrangements can be made with the lodge prior to your stay.
Even in the heart of the African Bush, Tinga Legends has a Boutique. Tinga Legends provides their own stylish and fashionable African wear and gifts.
Tinga Legends offers an executive board room which provides inspiration to make the perfect decisions in the setting of the African Bush. The board room can accommodate a maximum of 14 people and provides a data projector; white boards with flip charts; drop- down screen; television; DVD player; ISDN lines and includes note pads & pens; tea & coffee and mineral water.
Close to Tinga Legends is the inviting Skukuza which offers one of Africa's most scenic golf courses where animals are free to roam. Booking is advised.
A section of the Selati Railway can be seen near Tinga Legends. The railway was constructed with the intention of linking the goldfields of Mpumalanga and Limpopo with the railway to Kamatipoort to Mozambique in 1892. The last engine ever to have travelled through the park was engine number 3638 which is now a monument at Skukuza and one of the carriages is the bar at the Selati restaurant in Skukuza. Guests of TInga Legends have the chance to cross the Sabie River in a hand pump- powered trolley over the Selati Railway Bridge.
Tinga Legends offers sunset and sunrise game viewing drives in open vehicles with an experienced professional field guide. No children aged 6 and younger are permitted on the open vehicles. Maximum amount of people permitted on the drive is 6. A private safari may be requested, subject to availability. Tinga Legends also offers bush walks where your experience with nature gets more intimate. All bush walks are conducted by professional guides, each guide has from 500- 2000 hours of walking experience, including tracking game on foot. No children under the age of 16 are permitted on the bush walks for their own safety.

Children policy:
Valid Passport/ Identity documents are required to prove date of birth of child.
- Bookings with children limited to a maximum of two suites at any one time
- No children aged 6 years and younger are accepted at Tinga Legends
- Children 7 - 12 years of age are accepted on safari vehicles at the discretion of lodge management Children 7 - 12 years of age are accommodated at 50% of the adult rate if sharing a suite with their parents
- No children aged 12 and younger will be accepted during peak periods
- Children 13 - 16 years of age pay full adult single rate
- Children 13 - 16 years are not permitted to share with adults during peak periods
- Tinga Bush Walks- No children under 16 are accepted on bush walks for safety reasons
